Worth Every Cent
Both these to wear in the oilfield up north. I was skeptical because I was a John Deere boot guy. However to my surprise they are the best boots I have ever had in my life. I will never wear anything different. I have had them three years and wore them every day and they still look brand-new.

Works as expected
i work in industrial chemicals, I needed these boots. I had to stretch the top of the arch by stuffing food cans in them overnight for one week. After that, they were very comfortable, and I wear them off work sometimes also.

Expensive mistake
I purchased these in the fall of 2014 from an industrial/farm store in Minot, ND with my annual company boot allowance. They actually exceeded my boot allowance, and I was willing to pay for the Carhartt Name and the comfort/weather resistance these boots offered. Within a week the left boot inner heel began to fold under my heel, but with enough wiggling and prying my foot would settle in properly. This morning (April 2015) I noticed that the internal lining on the left boot had actually come away from the inside of the boot, and this afternoon the interior tore free and followed my foot in, then more tearing as I pulled my foot out. Waterproof, comfortable once settled, reasonably warm but I spent more than my yearly allowance on a pair of boots that lasted almost exactly 6 months, Thank goodness last year's boots are still good.
